Artist’s Note:
In this diptych, I treated the historical Baroque genre with humor.
I reworked in my own way the multi‑figure composition of the Italian artist Tiepolo, “The Death of Hyacinthus.”
There he depicts the just‑deceased lover of Apollo, Hyacinthus. In the Greek myth, Apollo accidentally killed Hyacinthus while they were playing and in this painting he bends over the reclining dead body.
Tiepolo’s extras are rather funny: it is a group of models with historical costumes slapped on them.

I have assembled three not‑very‑compatible figures on the right: the body of Hyacinthus, broken cubistically, alluding to the spirit of Baroque drama; Apollo as a blue meme; and a stone sculpture, all trying to interact with the others emotionally.
My crowd on the left is also a set of dissimilar characters who do not quite understand what’s going on.
